  • Google Account Data: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We do not receive or store your Google password.
  • Uploaded Data: Sales data and CSV files you upload for demand forecasting purposes.

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps of interactions, and general usage patterns.
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
  • Cookies and Local Storage: Authentication tokens and user preferences (e.g., theme settings).

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Shelfwise service.
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
  • Process your uploaded data to generate demand forecasts.
  • Improve, personalize, and expand our service.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With trusted third-party services that help us operate our platform (e.g., cloud hosting, AI model providers for forecast generation).

  • Shared Forecasts: If you generate a public sharing link for a forecast, the forecast data (chart and metrics) will be accessible to anyone with that link. No personal account information is included in shared forecasts.

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and uploaded data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and uploaded data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

8. Google OAuth and Limited Use Disclosure

Shelfwise's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We only request access to your basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) for authentication purposes.
  • We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.
  • We do not share Google user data with third parties except as necessary to provide or improve our service, or as required by law.
  • We do not use Google user data for purposes unrelated to the Shelfwise service.

9. Cookies

Shelfwise uses essential cookies and local storage for authentication and user preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Essential cookies are necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled.

10. Children's Privacy

Shelfwise is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
